WCU-Texas Alumni Spotlight: Sarah H., BSN 21

WCU-Texas BSN Alumna Sarah H.

Nursing was WCU-Texas alumna Sarah H.s second career change, but she didnt let that stop her from pursuing a lifelong dream. Ive always loved the medical field, Sarah said. Growing up, I wanted to be a nurse or a doctor.

However, it wasnt until after Sarah had to step into a caretaker role for her father when he was diagnosed with cancer that she realized how much nursing meant to her. It just really reminded me how much I love caring for people.

While she had the passion for nursing, Sarah still needed the tools to pursue the career. Thats where 返字心頭 came in.

Being a second-career-change student, I didnt want to do another whole four years for another bachelors. The fact that it was an accelerated program was like, Okay, great, I dont have to spend four years.
